Some weird little tricks you might want to try as an artist 👀🎨
🖋️ Dip pen tip: Lightly burn the nib with a lighter before using—it draws much smoother! (Don’t overdo it, or you’ll damage the pen😭)
🎨 Cheap kids’ watercolor = body paint? Yup. It’s usually non-toxic and works surprisingly well for fake tattoos or just small markings on skin.
🌈 Watercolor palette rule: Dont wash your mixing palette until the artwork is finished. This way, you keep the same shades throughout—no accidental color shifts.
💻 Digital hack: Fill your canvas with a light gray or brown color before starting. It feels way less intimidating than a blank white screen.
📏 Straight lines tip: If digital ruler tools make your lines look too perfect, try placing a physical ruler on your tablet and drawing along it. Works like a charm 😎
🖍️ Marker revival trick: Got a dried-out alcohol marker? Add a few drops of isopropyl alcohol or acetone into the nib (use a dropper or syringe) It can bring it back to life—for a while, at least.
🧹 Need to clean your space? Just start thinking about drawing perspective or anatomy—you’ll suddenly want to clean ASAP 😂
