In the heart of Tallinn Old Town lies the gorgeous Christmas market. It is filled with small wooden cottages where you can buy hot mulled wine, gingerbread, handmade souvenirs and more! The star of the market is the Christmas tree, which is the most important Christmas tree in Estonia. It has been set up in Town Hall Square since 1441, making it the first Christmas tree ever to be put on display in Europe!

During December, the town hall square is filled with little glass pavilions where you can buy hot mulled wine, gingerbread cookies and other delicious items. There is an option to send a letter to friends and family, and children can play in piles of straw. In the centre of the market is a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. In front of the town hall is an ice rink, you can borrow a pair of skates and skate your heart out. It is definitely a wonderful time!
