Art block, creative burnout. We have all experienced these, but it is hard to create anything when they decide to pay a visit again.
That’s why today we’d like to give you some tips on how to make it easier for you should they appear once more.✨
1. Be active. A simple walk can help lift the mood, even if it lasts only 10-15 minutes. Who knows, maybe inspiration hits while you’re walking!
2. Self-care. If you know that tough times are coming, don’t push yourself to do the things you don’t need to do. Take breaks (they are so necessary for our body and mind), drink something warm or cuddle up under heaps of blankets. Maybe write out your thoughts so that they don’t take up space in your head.
3. Talk to someone you trust. A problem shared is a problem halved. Perhaps they can give you advice, or they can just be there for you and listen.
4. It might help to think ahead of what’s to come. Try thinking about the fun things that are on the way (like seasonal events, for example Halloween or Christmas). A walk in a sunny autumn forest sounds like a good time as well, all the colours shining in the sunlight is sure to clear the head!
We hope that this little list is helpful for you! Remember, it is absolutely okay if you go through creative burnout or are faced with art block, all creatives have. You are definitely not alone in this!
